Who answers the phone
When you call (610) 826-2400, you are likely talking to Ryan Bruch. He owns Palmerton Garage Door II LLC today and does much of the work personally. The shop itself has operated out of the same Palmerton location since 1991.
That is not a marketing line. It is the reason the business has held the Times News Reader's Choice award for Best Garage Door Company seven years in a row. In a county where people talk to each other, the person who did your neighbor's doors does yours. And if something ever goes wrong, the person who answers the phone is the same person who can fix it.
The story
Palmerton Garage Door has operated out of 3785 Forest Inn Road in Palmerton since 1991. In the years since, we've installed and serviced garage doors for homeowners across Palmerton, Jim Thorpe, Lehighton, Nesquehoning, Lansford, Kunkletown, Walnutport, Slatington, and the towns in between — and out into Monroe County and the Lehigh Valley.
The work has ranged from the quick fix — a broken spring on a Monday morning when someone is trying to get to work — to the kind of job that changes how a house looks from the street. One customer came in to replace three plain white utility doors. She left with three mahogany carriage doors. Another longtime customer had doors we installed 19 years prior. When a car drove through one of them, he called at 9:30 on a Friday morning. Someone was there by afternoon.
Both of those outcomes — fast response on an emergency and quality installation that holds up for decades — are what the business is built around.
The award
In 2019, the Times News began its Reader's Choice awards program for Carbon County businesses. Palmerton Garage Door II LLC has won the Best Garage Door Company category every year since the program started — seven consecutive years through 2025.
These are not industry awards or franchise rankings. They are votes from Carbon County residents who chose this business over every other option available to them. That streak does not happen without doing the work right, showing up when called, and operating with the kind of consistency that earns repeat customers and referrals in a small community.
Our own words when the 2025 award came in: "We did it again. We are keeping the streak going of 7 years in a row."
How a new door gets chosen
Most garage door companies show you a catalog and take a measurement. We go over door styles, panel designs, hardware options, and the difference between insulated and uninsulated steel doors with you, using photos of finished jobs, before you decide anything. For homeowners considering a full door replacement, particularly a style upgrade from utility steel to carriage house or mahogany, seeing real installations is often the deciding factor.
Have your measurements ready if you have them. If you do not have them, that is fine. We will measure the opening at your home and walk you through your options.
What you can expect when you hire us
A straight answer on what the job involves. We'll look at your door and tell you what it needs. If the honest answer is that a simple repair is the right call, we say that. If the honest answer is that the door is worn out and a replacement makes more sense economically, we say that too.
Same-day response for common emergencies. Broken springs and doors that will not open or close are the most frequent calls. We respond quickly across Carbon County, Monroe County, and the Lehigh Valley for these repairs.
Installation that holds up. One customer's review — "they installed my doors 19 years ago, never had an issue" — is the standard we work to. A door that needs service calls twice a year was not installed correctly or was not matched to the right hardware for the application.
One name, one number. (610) 826-2400. If there is a problem after the job is done, call the same number. You will reach the same shop.
